TOUR TO KWA-ZULU NATAL & DRAKENSBERG – Example

Day 1: Barberton to Nottingham Road (2 Nights) On the first day we'll travel towards Natal via Ermelo & Volksrust. There will be some options of traveling on gravel roads.

Day 2: Nottingham Road – Day 2: Venture off into the beautiful countryside for some good riding, sightseeing and eat your lunch at the best little sausage place in Natal . Later you can spend some time finding out how beer is brewed, and taste the different varieties available at the famous Nottingham Road Brewery.

Day 3: Nottingham Road – Amanzimtoti - 2 Nights: On Day 3 we explore the Valley of a 1000 Hills , and as the name implies this is awesome motorbike riding country, with sweeping curves, windy little roads and spectacular views. For lunch we'll stop over at one of the many little inns along the way. Before nightfall we will be in Amanzimtoti, overlooking the Sea.

Day 4: Amanzimtoti – Day 2: Cruise up the Coast to Shakas Memorial past the well known sugarcane fields of Natal , then have some lunch overlooking the Ocean at Ballito, one of the best holiday destinations on the coast. On the way back to Amanzimtoti we stop over at The Durban Marine Parade, with an option to go to the Ocenarium.

Day 5: Amanzimtoti – Bergville – 2 Nights: After a good nights rest we ride on to the Drakensberg, via the back roads past Donnybrooke, Mount Lebanon and the Drakensberg Park, which incorporates various Nature Reserves. Our overnight stop will be just north of the Berg near Bergville. This trip entails a fair amount of gravel road riding, but alternative routes can be arranged.

Day 6: Bergville – Day 2: Take a Tour to the insides of the Sterkfontein Dam and ride around in the surrounding mountains. For the daring there is a ladder which goes up to the top of Mont-Aux-Sources. Lunch will be at one of the numerous little inns around the dam.

Day 7: Bergville – Barberton: As we head off towards home we leave the mountains behind and head back to Harrismith and then onto the motorway, with lunch at one of the many roadstops.
